Artist Statement
For decades I have felt the need to create and have often joked that I made cave paintings inside my mother’s womb. My projects merge two of the things I care most about which are the complexities of the male homosexual lifestyle and our natural environment.
Dicks, dicks, dicks. Shaped with wire, sculpted in ceramic, carved in wood, drawn with lead, or painted with acrylic. They bring me joy and I strive to create gay sexual positivity with my work. As a multigenerational garden grower, I also enjoy reinterpreting and reimagining plants and nature. Exploring different mediums is a big part of my practice.
